NJ&J Builders is a design-build general contractor in Wakefield, Rhode Island, building custom, coastal and net zero homes across South County since 1999. We're hiring entry-level laborers and experienced carpenters to join our crew on residential new construction and renovation.
Pay is $22–32 an hour depending on experience, from entry-level laborer to experienced carpenter. Work is full-time and year-round, on our job sites around South County. The crew starts around 8:00 AM.
Who we're looking for
- Entry-level laborers: some construction experience preferred, but we'll train the right person.
- Experienced carpenters: 3–5 years of carpentry experience. Framing and finish work a plus.
What you'll do
- Work with our crew on new homes, additions and renovations across South County.
- Framing, sheathing, siding, trim and finish work, matched to your experience.
- Site prep, demolition, material handling, and keeping job sites clean and safe.
What you need
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites around South County.
- Your own basic hand tools.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- OSHA 10 certification, completed after you're hired.
